Us | Them is a kinetic sculpture hanging from three 12-foot chains suspending single pieces o one section of a 70-year-old tree. Each section hovers just above the ground from an orange chain representing th liminal space between stop and slow down, swinging between moments of grief and anger over the tragedy that has been brought on by this pandemic. Us | them explores rotating illuminations of cast shadows creating ever changing compositions — a reflection of the restrictions that were put in place for the safety of others and to protect the most vulnerable.
